Population First is a registered NGO which works on the population and health issues facing India, from the perspective of women’s rights and social development. We believe that population is not an issue of numbers alone. We need to tackle some of the main causes that produce it- poor social development, gender inequities and lack of access to health and contraceptive services.

Our key objectives are to help reduce gender imbalances in the population as reflected by the falling sex ratio and to work towards the goal of achieving population stabilization (visit http://www.populationfirst.org)
